The government approved amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine on criminalization of movement of anti-epidemic products across the customs border of Ukraine at the meeting on March 25.
Article 2012 on movement of exportable anti-epidemic products subject to licensing across the customs border of Ukraine, outside of the customs control or their concealment from the customs control was added to the Criminal Code.
The List of exportable anti-epidemic products subject to licensing, is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The changes include imposition of a fine in the amount of 8,000-20,000 tax-free minimum incomes of an individual, or imprisonment for up to three years for the illicit export of such products in significant amounts (if their cost 200 times or more exceeds the tax-free minimum).
Persons who commit repeated offence, groups of persons upon a preliminary collusion, officials using their official position, and persons with previous convictions will be punished by a fine in the amount of 20,000-25,000 tax-free minimum incomes of an individual or imprisonment for 3-6 years.
The same penalty will be imposed on persons for major movement of products, the cost of which 800 times or more exceeds the tax-free minimum income of an individual.
