Government has approved the National Economic Strategy until 2030

The Prime Minister noted the significance of the approval of NES-2030 on the results of a yearly activity of the Government and noted that this was the first such fundamental document in the history of Ukraine.

During the session, the Government has approved the National Economic Strategy until 2030 with work to finalize the document.

“The National Economic Strategy 2030 is a comprehensive document that should lead Ukraine to the club of developed and successful countries. The strategy was developed with the involvement of experts, scientists, officials, MPs. This will be a significant contribution to the development of a successful, prosperous European Ukraine,” said the Prime Minister.

More than 500 participants joined the drafting of NES-2030: representatives of more than 20 think tanks, more than 30 business associations, 40 executive bodies, experts and civil society, MPs.

The document determines strategic steps for the development of industry, agriculture, mining, infrastructure, transport, energy, information and communication technologies, creative industries and services. The Strategy also takes into account important cross-cutting areas – digitalization, the green course, business development, and balanced regional development.

Among the principles, the National Economic Strategy is based on, are European and Euro-Atlantic integration, inviolability of private property, rule of law, intolerance of corruption, free and fair competition, and equal access for business.

Denys Shmyhal thanked all those who had joined the development of NES-2030 and expressed hope that all branches of government would be actively involved in achieving a common goal for the country.
