Regarding the state of preparation for the conclusion of “industrial visa-free

On February 1, 2021, the Ministry of Economy held an interdepartmental meeting on the state of preparations for the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA) chaired by the Minister of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine Igor Petrashko.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Energy, the State Food and Consumer Service, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency, the National Accreditation Agency, Ukrmetrteststandart, and UkrNDNC.

“Industrial visa-free travel” is one of the key priorities of the President and the Government. The agreement will open huge new opportunities for Ukrainian producers and exporters. Therefore, the preparatory work for the conclusion of this Agreement is extremely important and requires maximum coordination of efforts of all parties involved, “said Minister Ihor Petrashko.

As a result of the meeting, a Working Group was formed to participate in the negotiation process with European experts on the conclusion of the ACAA Agreement, which will be approved by the relevant order of the Ministry of Economy.

It will be recalled that on October 29, 2020, a preliminary assessment mission was launched by EU experts on the readiness of the Ukrainian quality infrastructure for the conclusion of the ACAA Agreement. So far, 15 online meetings have been held.

The first priority sectors of industrial products for “industrial visa-free travel” are low-voltage electrical equipment, electromagnetic compatibility of equipment, machinery.

For the first time in 15 years, we see active and productive cooperation in the direction of “industrial visa-free travel”, which is getting closer to us every day. Much work has already been done, much remains to be done. But the screening and legal framework that is currently being created for the first three product sectors will become the foundation for covering all types of Ukrainian industry in the future, ”the Minister added.

It is planned that after the next meetings of the preliminary assessment mission in February-March, Ukraine will receive a report, which will begin a new important stage for the signing of the “industrial visa ban”.
