On February 17, 2021, the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine hosted the first meeting of the Technical Committee for Accreditation “Medical Devices”.
The Committee was established in accordance with Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies” and to improve the accreditation of medical devices, as well as to establish effective cooperation with related technical committees of international and regional organizations.
The report states that priority will be given to resolving problematic issues related to the implementation of CAB provisions and requirements of the Technical Regulation on Medical Devices, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 02.10.2013 № 753, Technical Regulations on Medical Devices for In Vitro Diagnostics, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers. from 02.10.2013 № 754 and the Technical regulations on active implantable medical devices, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 02.10.2013 № 755, as well as other issues of accreditation work in this area. The technical committee included authoritative experts, scientists, representatives of conformity assessment bodies. During the meeting the plan of activity of the committee was discussed and approved, its priority tasks were determined, the terms and agenda of the next meeting were agreed upon.
