The Ministry of Economy is accelerating the development and implementation of technical regulations by relevant state bodies on the basis of acts of EU legislation. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Serhiy Telenyk.
“Technical regulation of Ukraine, which meets European and international standards, is the foundation for state-building and the manufacture and sale of quality, safe products. In particular, given the escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine, draft technical regulations in the field of medical devices are being developed as a matter of priority. They are considered to be socially significant and those that require rapid adaptation to the norms and acts of EU legislation, “said the Deputy Minister.
According to him, such measures will promote the availability and timely supply of quality medical products to Ukraine, which is extremely important for the state in a pandemic.
Serhiy Telenyk stressed that the Ministry of Economy is intensifying the process of preparation and adoption of key technical regulations for life and health of citizens and changes to them within the coordination of CEB activities in the field of technical regulation and the Action Plan for reforming the technical regulation system until 2025.
